Marketing & demand / Build playbook

Turn campaign data into decisions.

Put campaign performance, goals, and ownership together so the next review leads to action.

An example implementation plan, not a preinstalled app or a customer case study.

  2. 02
    Shared review
  3. 03

The build plan

  1. 01

    Agree on the question

Choose one decision, such as which landing pages need attention. Define the conversion event, reporting window, currency, and what your team means by success.

  2. 02

    Connect approved reporting data

Read the selected Ads account, GA4 property, and planning sheet. Confirm API access and keep spreadsheet targets distinct from measured results.

  3. 03

    Build a focused review view

Show campaign performance alongside goals, owner, and a proposed next experiment. Keep source links, refresh times, and missing data visible.

  4. 04

    Explain the differences

Do not imply perfect attribution. Document differences in reporting windows, event definitions, consent, and how each source counts results.

  5. 05

    Pilot before changing spend

Compare a small report against the source tools. Let reviewers record decisions and next actions; keep ad-budget changes outside the first read-only version.

Before it goes live

  • The same currency and date range are used for comparisons.
  • Missing data is not rendered as zero performance.
  • A report does not imply person-level tracking or perfect attribution.

Start with this prompt

Paste into Scout, then adapt it to your team. Do not paste credentials or private customer data.

Build a read-only marketing performance workspace using Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Google Sheets. Show campaign results, agreed goals, owner, date range, currency, source links, and last refresh. Keep planned targets separate from actual results. Explain attribution differences and missing data. Add a reviewed experiment backlog with an owner and follow-up date. Do not change advertising budgets or imply perfect attribution.
