FAQ
What is Path and how does it work?
Path is an AI-native platform for designing, building, deploying, and managing websites, web apps, mobile apps, internal tools, and automations.
Describe what you want to create, and Path’s AI agents help plan the project, write the code, build the interface, configure the data, and deploy it. You can continue improving your project through natural-language requests or edit it directly using Path’s development tools.
What is a credit?
Credits measure the work performed by Path’s AI agents. Credits are used when agents generate code, modify a project, analyze files, troubleshoot issues, or complete other AI-powered tasks.
Credit usage varies based on the complexity of the request, the models used, and the amount of work required. Simple changes generally use fewer credits than complex features or large project updates.
How do I use credits in Path?
Credits are automatically used when you ask Path’s AI agents to complete work. You do not need to manually assign or activate them.
Before submitting larger requests, Path may provide an estimate or indicate that the task could require more credits. You can track your available credits and usage from your account dashboard.
Credits are not used simply because your project is live. Hosting and application usage are measured separately.
Estimated credit usage for common requests (actual cost varies with complexity, revisions, and models used):
- “Update the homepage headline and button colors” — about 1–3 credits
- “Add a contact form that emails submissions to our team” — about 5–15 credits
- “Build a simple booking page with date picker and confirmation email” — about 15–40 credits
- “Create a customer portal where users can log in, view invoices, and update their profile” — about 40–100 credits
- “Build a full internal CRM: contacts, deals pipeline, notes, and basic reporting” — about 100–250 credits
- “Ship a marketplace MVP with listings, search, messaging, and payments” — about 250–500+ credits
For reference, the Free plan includes 30 credits per month (enough for small tweaks or a light feature). Pro plans start at 250 credits per month — enough to build and iterate on a solid app, with higher tiers for larger products and more frequent changes.
Do credits expire?
Monthly credits reset at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over to the next month.
Free-plan credits also refresh monthly. Any promotional or purchased credits may have separate expiration terms, which will be shown when they are issued.
What happens to my credits if my subscription ends?
You can use your credits through the end of your current paid billing period. When the subscription ends, unused credits included with the paid plan expire and your account moves to the Free plan unless otherwise stated.
Your projects and code remain yours, but paid features, limits, custom domains, and deployed applications may be affected when your account is downgraded.
Are credits refundable?
Credits and subscription payments are generally nonrefundable, including unused credits at the end of a billing period.
If you believe credits were deducted because of a technical issue or incorrect usage calculation, contact Path support. We will review the activity and may restore credits when appropriate.

Do you charge per seat or per user?
No. Path plans include a set number of internal team members and external application users. You pay for the plan as a whole rather than paying a separate fee for every seat.
Team members are the people who build or manage projects in Path. External users are the customers, employees, members, or other people who use the applications you publish.
If you need more team members or external users, you can move to a higher plan.
How much does it cost to run my app on Path?
Your subscription includes an external-user allowance ranging from 100 users on the Free plan to 5 million users on higher Pro plans. Enterprise plans can support unlimited external users.
Actual operating costs may vary based on your application’s traffic, storage, database usage, AI features, third-party services, and infrastructure requirements. Applications with unusually high usage or specialized infrastructure may require additional capacity or a custom Enterprise plan.
You can review usage from your Path dashboard and upgrade as your application grows.
Why is the Pro plan more expensive?
Path Pro includes more than access to an AI coding assistant. It combines AI agents, application infrastructure, deployment, mobile app support, collaboration, custom domains, and project-management capabilities in one platform.
Higher Pro tiers include additional AI credits, team members, and external-user capacity. This allows the plan to scale with both the amount of development work you perform and the number of people using your applications.
Annual subscriptions receive a 20 percent discount compared with monthly billing.
Who owns the projects and code?
You retain ownership of the projects, content, data, and code you create in Path, subject to any third-party licenses or materials you choose to use.
Path does not claim ownership of your business or application. You are responsible for ensuring that the content, data, and third-party materials included in your projects can be legally used.
Do you offer a student discount?
Path does not currently offer a standard student discount. Students can use the Free plan to get started, including one project and 30 credits per month.
Students, educators, and academic organizations with larger needs can contact us to discuss available programs or custom pricing.
